Dudley Finally Crawled Out of the Earth

When Dudley went in the dirt we were expecting him to come out on September 11th.  We thought he might of died because he wasn't coming out.  We opened the jar, took the dirt out and looked around in the dirt.  And then we found Dudley in his chrysallis and he was moving.  We put him back in the jar and we kept waiting.  Then we looked on Wikipedia and found out they can even stay in the chrysallis form for over three months.  Then on the sixth of October we come home and our Dad found him lying on the dirt.  He looked like he was dead because he was lying on his back and had his wings curled around him.  He was not moving.  We took a picture of him and decided to deal with him later.

Dudley

It's the end of our first week of school.  We had a treat to start our week off.  The kids named him (or it could be her) Dudley.  Pete put together a little film about Dudley using iMovie.  I have to brag about the photos at the beginning because they were taken by me.  Enjoy the film.  More entries about Dudley will be coming soon.

Wink, Blink & Pink

The shells are named Wink, Blink and Pink.  They like the sand.  One day they got washed away in the ocean.  To drink they had to sink.  Pink is the pink shell.  Wink is the brown shell.  Blink is the yellow shell with the blue hat.

A sad story

A little girl was riding her bike one day.  And it was busy on the street because cars were going fast.  And the little girl that was riding a bike was so busy watching the cars that she fell off.  There was a boo-boo on her knee.  And then a cat came up to comfort her.

All things bright and beautiful ...

Both Luke & Elijah learned the poem "All things bright and beautiful".

They also created illustrations.

Here, in a multimedia extravaganza, are their renditions of "All things bright and beautiful"

Apparently the videos captured in photo booth are flipped right and left.  (Notice Elijah is a slegnA fan.)  I bet there is a setting in there but we haven't found it yet.

"Way Down South" Poem

Here is a poem Ruth learned for school.
